چکیده

Supplementation of feed with turmeric (Curcuma longa) has been shown to be beneficial in poultry farming. The present study aimed at evaluating the effect on duodenal structure broiler chickens during first 42 days life. A control and three treatment groups (turmeric powder added following doses: E1 - 5; E2 10; E3 20 g/kg feed) were constituted (n = 8). Addition resulted an increase intestinal villi height a decrease crypts depth case E2, while villus crypt ratio generally did not differ significantly from control. Turmeric also influenced histological duodenum, as well presence IL-6 TNFα, evidenced through staining. 0.5 1 % had evident results body weight gain.
